Jill has many things in common with the great blues Diva's of the 20's and 30's:
she is as comfortable singing a prayerful Ave Maria in church as she
is belting out a blues tune in a blues dive
bar. Jill has performed as vocalist for a variety of blues, rock and gospel bands.
Whe has also recorded for several other local musicians including Bill Toms and Hard Rain,
Tom Breiding, Jill West and John Vento. She plays with all the best keyboardists
in the Pittsburgh area, most often teaming up with John "Junkman" Burgh.
Recently, she's joined Bill Toms and Hard Rain on vocals, and adds her sweet-soulful voice
to Bill's acoustic shows as well. Jill's philosophy as a performer is to always give it her heart and soul.
Whatever the gig, whatever the song, Jill will sing it with passion
and knock your socks off with her range and power.

Tina started doing the DJ thang in 2003 in the great state of Florida and now calls Austin, Texas her home. Tina spins a mix of styles, but it's all got to be funky and have a little "ass" to it. In addition to spinning her fave Blues, Lindy and West Coast Swing tunes in Austin Tina has been a featured DJ at dance exchanges and workshops across the US and Canada. Check out www.SweetTProductions.com for more info on her exploits.
Slow and moody, black 'n' bluesy. That's how Loreto rolls. One of the few beacons of blues in Cleveland, an otherwise "fast" dance town, Lo welcomes any chance to play for dancers who want music with a little grease and a whole lotta soul. He promises to give you the "Blues Face" - you know, that look you get when you hear a song with so much stank, you wanna go home and slap yo' mama.
Mike's love of blues and jazz, originally stemming from her love of partner dances, have been obsessive for some time; once she started running a weekly blues dance, she committed herself to the art of DJing. She has since DJ'ed sets all over the Tennessee, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida. She prides herself on providing a variety of styles and eras in her sets, and strives to create a sound that is both unique and inspiring.
Rachel (aka DJ BluRay) was introduced to blues music shortly after her birth in Austin, Texas. In 2007 (less than half of your age plus seven years later) she became addicted to dancing swing and blues. Soon, she became a regular on the DJ rotation in Austin, including as a house DJ at Kick Butt Blues. She has spun tunes at dances and events in Pittsburgh, Montreal, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, Colorado, Portland, LA, all over Texas, and at blues, swing, and fusion parties in many cities.
Ed grew up as a classical musician in big town just outside a large eastern seaport. He practiced his violin and dutifully went to music camp every summer. But when he became a teenager, he graduated to bass just in time to work in the Seaport's recording studios. He had a wonderful time until he had to grow up. In the past several years, Ed's been dj-ing at Pittsburgh and Middle West Blues and swing dances using the knowledge that he gained as a musician in the 50's and 60's to fill the dance floors.
Stay tuned for other great DJs
